No, but is certainly does hurt to include an “o” ring.

Not currently in stock, but with the Colt extractor spring, no o-ring is needed.

Some believe the oring causes extractor breakage. I usually remove mine and have never had any extraction issues. Now many years ago when most 7.62x39 bolts used 5.56 extractors it was more necessary, because the groove was not ideal.

I bought a Young Manufacturing bolt this fall and switched it out on one of my 7.62x39 builds that I did years ago on Mega Receivers. I just finally shot it yesterday getting ready for a pig hunt in FL, and the bolt wouldn't fully close about half of the time. Hitting the forward assist wouldn't close it (even tried some light taps with a rubber mallet). The extractor seemed tight so I took it apart and removed the O-ring. Ran a 30 rd mag and it functioned perfectly.
