I’m looking at buying some older Colt BCGs with the ‘C’ stamped on the carrier as opposed to electro penciled. The bolt that is in the carrier is marked MPF. Is this marking correct for an older Colt bolt? I thought they were C or MPC marked.

That is a new/newer bolt made by FN.

Yep, however it's pretty common to see mix-matched bolts/carriers such as Smith Enterprise, Toolcraft, FN, and Colt from M16A2 until current day in military weapons. Armorers don't care about matching when replacing the worn or broken part, all that matters is functionality.

Well that makes sense since it’s F marked.
