Not sure anyone really cares, but the 20 I got from Locked and Loaded were Magpul followers and dated 5-21.
Honestly going to wait another few months and scrounge up another 25-50 to stash away. |

I'm sorry if the above info makes no sense. I'm kind of an idiot.

What I'd like to know is if there will be any 2022 production. Are we just whittling down remaining vendors' stock?

I didn't know that they would work with the 20's too. @WIZZO_ARAKM14 |

What is the preferred follower to look for and why? I thought I read somewhere that Okay makes the OEM Colt/USGI magazines.

Just a heads up/before anyone gets excitable.....the Magpul Enhanced followers will fit in the straight 20 bodies, they will not function correctly. Straight body mags need a follower that is able to tilt.

Why does Okay have 2 very similar colors with fde and desert tan?
Edited to add : just discovered primary arms shipped me a desert tan 30 instead of fde ordered. |
|
|
[#14]
The call the E2s Desert Tan, the regular mags FDE. I bet they’re the same color.
|
|
|
[#15]
Thats what I was thinking but I ordered a regular 30 round fde mag when they shipped a desert tan.
|
|
|
[#16]
Okay only makes one color, which they call Desert Tan, but some dealers label it as FDE on their websites, because that's the name that most people are more familiar with and look for when searching for products. I think Desert Tan is a better description for the color Okay produces, since it's a lighter tan than what people commonly call FDE.

I have plenty of AR-15 mags, but since Okay Industries is stopping production, an order went out for 25 more mags which gave me free shipping & 5%off with a coupon. Maybe this will stop my mag buying!

Okay is in the process of running 3 months of inventory for the buyer to cover orders during the equipment move. The plan is to shut down Okay’s production line and ship the manufacturing equipment in early/mid-October. The new company is estimating it will take 3-4 weeks to be up and running (mid-November?).

From conversations I had when the Gen M3 was being developed there were no distinctive qualities of the Okay magazines during testing. They were no better than any of the other aluminum GI mag manufacturers of the time. |

I think they’re just as good or trashy as any other GI mag and I don’t own a single solitary aluminum mag anymore. I’m honestly surprised that Okay was able to sell their mag business as they don’t OEM for anyone, or have a government contract anymore. The banning or confiscation of weapons is a denial of the nature of Man, a pathetic attempt to avert the violence innate to Mankind, an insult to the Sacred Creed of the Murdercube.

They’re probably decent enough but the floor plate and the feedlips are the same what’s on the 30s. I don’t see any purpose for an aluminum 20 other than retro appearance and they’re not right for that. |
