Also, a machinist that retired from my shop owns an engine lathe, barrel collar location shall be fixed on my 6.8 Bison barrel soon-ish. Everything ordered, including AEM5-22 bored to 6.8. I did go with the CLE Douglas barrel with SPR (Mk12) profile. Going to use a PRI Gen 3 hand guard and recce rail for this "what if" rifle. Now I gotta decide on an optic and mount. Gotta be something modernish like a NF ATACR or a Vortex Razor Gen3. |

Not sure about the spacing on the Brownells. I didn't have an armorers wrench at the time so I got a $5 spanner wrench in town, worked just fine. Easiest handguard install I've done. |

General question about the PRI top rail, I assume it makes the upper more rigid. Presumably making it more accurate, in theory at least.
Is it worth the extra weight? |

If you want a single piece extended style mount like the Larue, you don’t need the rail |
