I did go with the CLE Douglas barrel with SPR (Mk12) profile. Going to use a PRI Gen 3 hand guard and recce rail for this "what if" rifle. Now I gotta decide on an optic and mount. Gotta be something modernish like a NF ATACR or a Vortex Razor Gen3. |

For the PRI handguard install, do I need to order one of their barrel nut wrenches or will a Brownells Armorer's wrench work?

Its seems like a helluva lot easier to use with a torque wrench IMO. |

Kinda wishing I had a 3.5-10. I don't think the nx8 is doing the H justice. Are they pretty much all dried up now? Is there anything similar/close that would be a good fit?

General question about the PRI top rail, I assume it makes the upper more rigid. Presumably making it more accurate, in theory at least.
Is it worth the extra weight? |

View Quote It solely exists to bridge the upper and handguard to provide a rail for standard scope rings. No other reason. If you plan on using the ARMS rings, get that rail. If you want a single piece extended style mount like the Larue, you don’t need the rail |

So does anyone know if guys carrying recce/spr type rifles such as the H are typically carrying 20 rounders in their load out or 30s? We see a lot of pics with 20s in the guns, but what about the rest of their mags?
