I don't think I've seen any sell in the 700 range in the last year. More like 900 now. I could have missed them though.
ETA: Page 100 needs more pics. |

For the correct ambi selector for a mod H its the Ambi M16 from Luth-AR correct? Also, is that the correct selector for a MOD 1 as well?

View Quote Not sure if it is the same one used, but closely resembles. Same with the CMMG ones. As for the MOD 1, similar for later variations used by the Army. Early ones were single sided without the indicator. |

Luth-AR is old DPMS crew. DPMS made the ambi, full-auto selectors that were originally used on the SPRs and some Mod 1s. Ergo, Luth-AR is same selector as OG DPMS selector. I may have found one old DPMS in one of my builds but I honestly can't remember now.
I have however compared an original take-off selector with the Luth-AR and they are, by any levels of autism, the same. I wouldn't have used one otherwise. |

Well I now have 4 to 6 months ( hopefully ) to build a host for this bad boy. At least the upper.
Attached File Upper is making some progress and since I'm convinced nobody actually reads this thread I'll post this abomination of a mod h. Obv need correct optic/mount and a bipod. I'll add the aem brake once the can is approved. The a1 profile lower will come later on. Attached File |

What buffer size do you recommend to run with the carbine buffer tube for rifle gas system upper? I am leaning toward more reliability than recoil reduction. Thank you in advance.

Thank you in advance. View Quote It's a midlength gas system on the mod-h. Depends on your gas port size. My Douglas barrel has such a small port that it still ejects at 4 o'clock with a suppressor and a standard carbine buffer. So I'd start there and work your way up to an h2 if necessary. But a standard would be where I'd start. |

After noticing a seemingly wandering POI I noticed that the dogbone piece and/or screw that holds the top rail on seems to be contacting my gas block. What exactly is the fix for this? Are you guys just cutting off the back half of the dogbone backing piece and running one screw up front?

That screw was hammering the shit out of my gb before I found it. |

Most people grind some off the end of the screw.

Thanks guys. I removed the piece and I can see where the screw was hitting the gas block. I don’t want any chance of contact due to handguard flex or barrel whip so I just chopped up the backing plate and I’ll just run the one screw up front.

Do I need the short or long collar to go with my brake?

If I wanted to have a gunsmith contour a bolt gun barrel for an AEM5, i.e. for the "collar" to be integral with the barrel, what would be the dimensions on that? My understanding is it's a 20 degree taper, but I've searched up and down and I can't seem to find the information on the larger outer diameter of the rear of the collar, or the smaller outer diameter toward the front. Wrong thread, sorry. ETA in case it's helpful (for those bull barrel Hollands out there ), Ron answered here. |

There's pics of both rifle and carbine length. You gotta get the earlier square notch style button to be right, or a circle style. The cutrent gen 4 is visually different, noticeably so. |
