Long shot but would anyone have a copy of the Mod 1 manual they could email me?
Or, anyone with the ability to get manuals printed interested in doing a small batch? Would fit nicely with the bore guides. and I imagine everyone getting a copy would be willing to chip in to support the effort. |

I know ilikebmxbikes on here and the hide has done reproduction mk12 manuals(as well as other weapon systems) in the past that he sold on eBay. I’m sure if there’s enough interest he would do a run of the manuals.
I have mk11 mod 0 and mk13 mod 5 manuals from him and they are great quality. |

Hey everyone,
I have an opportunity to buy a Colt Alcoa Forge upper that is supposed to be in great condition, but it does NOT have M4 feed ramps. According to page 1 of this thread, a Mk12 should have them. Did all the Colt Alcoa Forge uppers (circa 2001-2002) for a "late Mod 0" come with M4 feed ramps from the factory? Is it possible that any of these were originally rifle uppers (no feed ramp cuts) that were later modified by adding the M4 cuts? Reason I ask is because I already have a beat up Colt AF upper that has M4 feed ramps, but the cuts are polished raw aluminum. I'm wondering if it's possible that mine was originally a rifle receiver that was modified later. Is anyone out there milling M4 feed ramps into rifle receivers? Should I just go ahead and pass on this one being offered to me since it lacks the M4 ramps? Thanks in advance! |

You don't want to add M4 ramps to an aluminum upper. Adding M4 ramps to a barrel extension is fine since it's steel but the aluminum will have the anodizing removed. |

Were you referring to my AF upper as being a "commercial offering" or were you talking about the one I'm looking at now without any feed ramp cuts? If the former, does that mean my AF upper was actually modified by someone other than the Colt factory or is it possible that Colt used to mill the M4 cuts into the receivers after anodizing? Thanks again! View Quote The one you are looking at. I don't have any insight on your raw M4 ramps, sorry. I would presume Colt or Crane didn't do it. |

@ pezboytate
Appreciate the clarification. Hopefully, someone else will chime in to let me know if my AF receiver is legit or not, being that it has M4 ramps cut after anodizing... |

Basically, yes, they're all gone. I did have a few spares made just in case, but they're more replacing any that might get damaged/lost/scrapped throughout the process and so I can't commit to releasing any of those until everyone else who's ordered one gets theirs first. Once all the guides are shipped out, I'll see how many I have left over and make them available to whoever might've missed out. I'll probably post it here and I'll try to remember to PM you directly before I do, just keep an eye out.

Can't speak for him, but I've bought multiple sets from PK Firearms in the last couple months. Most recently about a month ago. You may want to check with them as they seem to have a good stock. |
