Ok just got back from the range and was able to shoot the RC2 and the Mini on the same host to compare. I shot the shimmed-up Criterion core 13.9”. I was running a Springco blue and H2 buffer.
-Noticeable db reduction from the RC2. Not surprising -Weight feels really similar in hand between the 2 -Noticeable difference in back pressure- it definitely seemed higher on the mini. My ejection moved from 3:30 to 2:30 with the mini on. It did seem like the RC2 put out a bigger puff at the ejection port, but I really liked how it shot. If you can tolerate the length, the RC2 may be the way to go. The warcomp seems to be concentric- no end cap marks at all. The pin is still in place 👍 I think the criterion build with the RC2 and a ATACR would be very very nice. |

Would a BCM 11.5” be anywhere close as say a Wilson combat 11.3 or criterion 11.5? I’m looking for a good barrel to go with a URX ii and saw someone with the bcm, but for the price they’re asking I’m wondering if I should just wait for the WC or Criterion

Just won't be as fast as a SS barrel. |

I love BCM but from everything I’ve seen, a Core will be better gassed and print far better groups. No idea on the Wilson but I’d either wait for a Core or get one of the Colt heavy FBI barrels.

I dunno who makes it for them, but the clamp is identical to primary arms house brand mlok rail.... Which is really damn nice for the price.

Is the 1.7 badger where it’s at now for lpvo work? Has anyone tried both and still prefer the 1.93? Thinking of switching over to the 1.7

I have been looking at the 1.7 mounts. Will prolly stick in on my 11.5 556 to try. Will most likely keep my aero on my mini Grendel since I generally shoot it prone or off a tripod.

Great. I have a 13” URX 4 sitting here and a 13.9” Criterion on back order, and now I’m finding out ADCO won’t pin and weld my Warcomp anymore?
Any suggestions on other shops that you would trust to do the work? |

I had John Thomas of Retro Arms Works do a 13.7 inch BA mid length barrel with a pin/weld SF Warcomp and it turned out really well. He made a custom spacer to get the overall length to 16.1 inches, and you can't even tell that there is a pi/weld job done to the muzzle device. That dude does phenomenal work and is reasonably priced. My first pin/weld was done by Tactical Edge when I was stationed at Fort Campbell and I was a little disappointed in the appearance of the work. There was a big sloppy mess of welding material, but it does work properly, and it cost me as much as what Retro Arms did with additional parts and labor. I've had several pin/weld jobs done around the Fort Bragg area and they were reasonably priced and the work was adequate. John Thomas does really good work and is easy to get a hold of if you have questions or want to make changes to your order. Just my two cents.
