The Mk8 is a great scope, but I don't think it's clone correct for the URG-I. I haven't used it on this upper and I'll probably move it to something else soon.

The Marines use the Vortex/Geissele set-up, so I guess this it what it might look like if the Corps had URG-I's. I'm never in this thread, so I have no idea if this is a correct optic set-up for units that do use the URG-I or if it's just a fantasy USMC creation (I'm also too lazy to flip through the thread and check, lol).

Sorry about the pistol brace, I don't have any SBR lowers right now. The silencer is also the 7.62 version from my Mk13 Mod 7, but it fits these uppers. Nothing is correct, I'm just making an ass out of myself in this clone thread, lol. Well, at least my Ultramount is the correct Mil-Spec version

Thanks, looks like I got the last one they had in stock, so hopefully it’s also the old version.

I’ve ordered 3 different MK16 rails direct from G over the past 2 months and none of them had the stupid QD insert.

Good to know.  Initially I thought it would be this way with all of the dealers, but Scopelist/EuroOptic told me their current stock (of 10.5s, at least) has inserts, so the new ones are floating around.

If the one I get from Brownells has them, I’ll just see if Geissele will let me stop by and swap - their HQ is about 15 miles away.

There’s a lot going on here…

I saw the top photo on IG but not the next 2.  Aside from the sig msr, which I’m pretty surprised to see, isn’t that modtac on upside down?

Is that a Mk5 (Mk6?) in a Larue mount? it doesn't look like a Leupold or Badger mount.

Do it. Seems like used prices went up since they discontinued them. Maybe we'll start seeing some MK5HDs on them.

He's got MILES gear on the left side of the rifle so that probably the reason for the wacky placement.

The "hook" that holds it to the brim is longer and wider than the old strap-on/bolt-on mounts. Seems to sit higher as well. The helmet kinda looks like a MICH but must be cut slightly differently.

Started with just SF but last summer had Rangers here with them.  Still only USASOC.  NSW still using URGs.

Is that bipod different from a regular Harris bipod?

Is that a different variation or a different brand?

Is that an M-Lok stud mount or is the mount part of the bipod.

Somehow it seems slightly different than usual, but not by much.

If they’re the same as the black ones, nf branded tenebraex.

Do the commercial tanos not come with the tan caps?

Looks quite a bit like a Canadian set up.  You can also see the green Diemaco hand guards with the tri-rail FSB attachment in one of the photos.
