Mr. G stated that the Super 42 spring and buffer, along with the Surefire ticket, will be included in all complete uppers.

Maybe someone forgot to put it in the box.

Just confirmed that only the "near clones" ship with the Geissele 42 spring/buffer. The "clone correct" uppers get the two 30% off Surefire Coupons instead.

Yup, Nick from GA emailed me this earlier today.

I'd much rather take the coupon than a Super 42. Besides, I already had a Super 42 in the lower I plan on using, anyways.

Agreed, the Super 42 is a rather affordable upgrade as well.

The clone correct uppers have been in stock at Geissele and Brownell's for over a week.  Surely someone on here has one that can post pics.

Looking to see if the upper is "C" or Colt Cage coded and if the bolt carrier group is marked.  Also, is the Colt upper "T" marked?

Colt cage code upper. BCG is C marked. Upper is T marked, and oddly enough in white. Rail has subdued T markings.

Heads up for those looking to pick up a Vortex Razor Gen II HD 1-6x for this build. EurOptic is blowing out their current stock on the JM-1 MOA and VMR-2 MOA reticle versions (sorry no VMR-2 MRAD reticle listed) for $949.

So what's the consensus when I buy one of the JM-1 or VMR-2 MOA models and end up wanting to sell it down the road which is easier to sell. Lol

I know if I buy one I'm just going to turn around and want the MRAD...

Personally I would find the JM-1 to be the more desirable of the two if you are shooting 3-Gun matches, it's very intuitive on the fly. I agree, the MRAD version is the one to have but some people prefer MOA (I don't get it lol).

I would bet that it’s because everyone is buying the -E models so they’re trying to get rid of the older models that they have in stock.

I think you are correct from the convo I had when I called them today. Of course I was told that the $949 pricing will remain until all inventory is liquidated and when I asked if they were going to do the same thing for the VMR-2 MRAD it was " we have no current plans to do so"....sounds like the government. Lol. Or "dont worry, we'll take it from here".

You should have tried the standard carbine spring and a H2 as well.

It’s crazy how people get carried away with buffer and spring weights. Factory is best. Let’s not reinvent the wheel.

This is a perfect example of overthinking the whole buffer/spring fiasco. “Tame the recoil”. This isn’t a shotgun.

So someone posted that they bought a complete clone upper and then posted pics of it?  I saw @vanquishings post of an upper, but never substantiated that it was a complete clone upper.  Other's were as confused as I currently am.

I agree that I would prefer to have the correct optic down to the exact reticle, but for the savings some could consider that worth flexing for. After all, you'll never know the difference unless you look through the optic and/or check under the turret caps.

Haha, I hear you, I wouldn't own a MOA optic for anything. My mind functions in the superior MRAD state of mind lol. That said, for quick ranging and hits out to 600m the JM-1 reticle is fantastic.

@Pezboytate

What do you think about adding ITW or as seen so far LPVO's on page 1? I've been searching for that list that was discussed but can't seem to find it so instead, if you'll list them then everyone can say "look at page 1"

Swapping between MILs and MOA is not difficult unless you're trying to convert shit, like if you have a MOA scope and a MIL spotter.

If you're just shooting by yourself, switch your ballistic app to MOA and rock on.

Probably just the T&E pics so poor wording on my part. Point is I'm trying to get the list previously discussed. NF NX8, Vortex Razor HD, etc, etc?
Link Posted: 9/26/2018 11:48:04 AM EDT

It's a shot in the dark IMO. I wouldn't go out and buy an optic for a clone because it may be what is issued in the future. If you guys want to buy an NX8 or whatever and don't mind if it isn't issued later, that's okay with me but I don't think it should be on the first page until we verify they're issued. Just my opinion.
