I saw someone in a different thread recently say that a semi-auto rifle cannot run like a sewing machine. Bullshit. I am a bass player with fast fingers, and with the La Rue MBT-2S, this thing absolutely does.

You don’t see many Colt conversion kits used these days.   Black Dog Machine sell a high capacity magazine which is compatible with the Colt and DPMS pattern bolts.   I bought several DPMS mags while they were available which work with the Colt AR-15 22 conversion.

Thanks for posting looks good.

Just saw you were in Ca but maybe someday you’ll be able to try the BDM mags.

That would be nice... in California I make do with whatever I can get.
Every tiny gun control detail gets nitpicked for Americans here,
while thousands of weapons are given away to our enemies.

That little kit fits the 6920 perfectly, functions flawlessly, and really saves money!

I thought the courts ruled California's magazine ban was unconstitutional?

One Court ruled the magazine ban was unconstitutional, the State appealed the decision and the case is still tied up in the appeals court.

Posting this just because i love it so much.

SBR lower with all millspec stuff, should work on any other upper
Colt stock
Tango grip, might replace that
Black dog mags (i think)
CMMG bolt
custom 5.5" barrel chambered in 22LR
Troy handguard
Silencerco Specter II lives on it
Whatever optics i feel like, sometimes irons, aimpoint M2 or Trijicon

Runs perfect, never had a single failure from day one.

Going to file for a suppressor here soon, but I think this build will be a stupid amount of fun. Right around 5# as it is, at least I think because 5# is the bottom limit for my scale. Need to go to a buddy’s to tighten the barrel nut, but it’s otherwise done. I will be measuring the gap between the back of the bolt assembly and buffer cap in case I do need to shim it for reliability.

First 22 AR build, went into hesitantly but really loving the platform. Anderson receiver set, RTB 16' pencil barrel and 22 bolt, Hera Linear Comp because it was around - Surprisingly VERY effective, running RTB 25 round mags, and installed a suite of Bore Buddy reliability accessories including the Buffer Pressure Plug, Charging Handle Insert, and Adjustable Bolt Weight. Rifle runs very reliably, 500 rounds in and have 1 FTF which occured around 200 rounds (Federal Semi Auto 22 ammo). Only run at the indoor 25 yd range and accuracy was great - No issues zeroing Magpul mbus and Holosun red dot. Will stretch it out and see what can do at 100 yards outdoors and report back.

Nice looking rig...I'm jones'n for a JP AR22...Did you purchase the barrel and bolt from JP?  It looks like yours is the earlier "full weight" version of the JP bolt.  How is that running for you?

Yes had an A2 on it which shot great but wanted to move a 10.5 556 that had the Hera linear comp on it so did a swap. When I say effective should have clarified, it sounds completely muted almost suppressed, as far as recoil goes it does nothing since there is almost no recoil anyways.

I believe uploading your pic(s) to imgur, then pasting the BB code link into your post should work.

If you shop around, some of them, like my retro 3-prong, are the about the same expense as a thread protector.

So I've pretty much decided on this being the configuration for the .22.  I might add a set of irons, but doubt it, same goes with replacing the HC510G with an AEMS.  Save an ounce, but meh it's a .22 that's already 5# or so.  Btw, those low profile Strike Industries mlok covers are nice.  The only reason I have the Magpul ones is for hand/thumb placement because of the different texture.
