I found myself a used NXS 2.5-10x42 and now trying to decide which nightforce unimount I should purchase to mount on my AR.  Seems, I have to decide height, Cant and Standard or extended length.  I am thinking the A192 may work but hoping someone with experience with the unimounts will chime in and let me know.

The most popular mount heights for magnified optics on AR-type rifles are between 1.375" and 1.5".  0moa vs 20moa is probably not going to matter unless you're regularly shooting past 800 yards.

I used an A192 on my 2.5-10x, also.

I reviewed both A496 and A192.  The A496 is at the same height that I am used to on my LT104 and AD-Recon mounts but from pics it doesn't seem to be extended enough to get my scope even with the Charging handle.  This is where all of my previous scopes end up resting.  The A192 seems to have the extension needed but I was concerned with the height.

Damn for that price you could get a Bobro or a LaRue mount with 10 or 20 MOA cant. Significantly less cost for one with 0 moa cant.

You are absolutely right.  I have several of the LT104 mounts, 1 bobro and 2 AD Recon.  I like the LT104 best.  I just thought an all Nightforce setup would be nice for a change.  I am not made of money but on occasion I do splurge.

Here is what Nightforce had to say about my question

Thank you for contacting Nightforce Optics customer service.

The most popular unimount for mounting optics on an AR platform is the 1.5". You can however go to the 1.375 if you would like. If you have any other questions please let me know.

I've got the 20MOA 1.375 which is great, but to do it over I would go 1.5" for iron sight clearance.
