Crazy that when tommy triggers released them, they came up with one. I bet they're in tandem together

Was wondering if that first shot was going to remind him about his hearing protection. Been there, done that.

Quoted: Crazy that when tommy triggers released them, they came up with one. I bet they're in tandem together View Quote Nah, they’re not. Here’s what Lawrence wrote when he posted about it… “I wasn’t going to post this for a while yet but now that Tommytriggers has made a 3-position forced reset trigger available today, I feel compelled to get this posted now. With all of the copying going on, the last thing I want is to have someone call us out for copying their trigger design. So here it is, the FRT-15E3. We’re through the design, development, and testing phases. We’re now in the middle of the pilot build and had planned to bring this to market in about 6 weeks. That’s still the plan but with Tommytriggers releasing theirs today, the cat’s out of the bag. So about the Tommytriggers design… I’ve called and spoken to Tom. He seems like a very nice gentleman and doesn’t feel as if his design infringes our patent. My team (including multiple patent attorneys) have taken a very close look at his design and feel it very much infringes our patent. I’ve requested a sit-down with him and his patent attorney to discuss the issue. Hopefully we’ll see eye to eye and be able to work something out. I’d really prefer to avoid additional litigation so that I can remain focused on our fight against the ATF/DOJ.” |

Is the customer list going to self destruct as soon as it ships?

I hope they prevail against the AFT.
I also hope the brace ban and 80% lower ban (if they go through) gets sued and falls apart. AR pistols on 80% (or 3D) lowers with 3 position FRT for EVERYONE! No more registration of anything! |
|
Im buying on once it is released. That was the only thing stopping me from buying one was the lack of single shot without a shit ton of hassle.

my concern is once i buy one and then the ATF raids them and gets customer records and now im forced to give up a $500 trigger.
|
|
I’m often skeptical of the “next best thing,” but this really looks like a viable route to a plebeian full auto AR without significant functional compromises.

Will absolutely buy.
Gift card from Walmart with a shipping address to a friend you semi sorta don't like. |

I don't get the "cash purchase" thing. If you're willing to keep something that is declared an illegal machine gun, why not just make a real illegal machine gun?

View Quote Easier to take a drop in trigger out and keep the said lower. Than have one that's got a hole above the selector position |
|
It'll coast along until somebody does a big shoot, then ATF will be all over it. No way in hell they'll let this slide.

View Quote Well, the way I see it is that paying cash for it allows one to directly support the legal fund of a man that's actively giving the finger to the AFT while getting a fun product and keeping one's dog off the assassination list. |

Got on the email list today, can’t wait to try one. It looks like everything I had hoped the Franklin BFS would be but isn’t, finicky, eats springs I hardly use it anymore. Hopefully every now and then when you just feel the need for speed ! This thing lives up it

With the current BS with the ATF regarding the 2 position trigger, I can only see it getting worse with the 3 position. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea and hope to get one, but I feel that the uphill fight against the .gov just got a bit steeper.
|
|
Okay, so I saw the vid on the 2-position, which I'd never heard of, and sort of understand how it works.
What is the 3 position? |

Quoted: Actually, no. He says he's going to the third position, thus my question. View Quote The previous model was safe and forced reset mode. 2 positions (safe and fire) This model is safe, semi, and forced reset. 3 positions (safe, fire, forced reset) I could never get behind the 2 position model but this one looks promising. |

View Quote Besides the fact that the Hughes amendment and NFA and GCA are all unconstitutional violations of the 2nd, the reset trigger technically meets the letter of the law and is NOT a full auto, but a semi auto trigger. A reset of the trigger is required to fire. The law doesn't limit cyclic rates. Heck, you can bump fire from the shoulder with a stock semi-auto and no additional equipment at all. |
