I walked into my local shop to check out Leo trade in guns and spotted this pistol on the used rifle rack.
It appears to be a 11.5” colt upper on a psa pistol lower. I really didn’t want the lower but the upper seemed like it was worth what they were asking alone in parts.. So, what have I got here?  Attached File Attached FileWhat’s this gas regulator thing?  Attached File |

PM marked A1 receivers were made by Colt or Elisco for the Philippines.
Any markings on the barrel? That adjustable gas tube was made by Fulton Armory if I’m not mistaken.. |

The barrel is marked bmp 5.56 NATO 1/9 hbar (looks like it's a bushmaster barrel)

Bushmaster barrel if it's BMP marked, Bushmaster did a lot of 1/9 HBAR barrels.

No markings on the bolt or BCG that I can see but it’s in nice shape with matching gray park.

I guess it was someones parts gun build and not a Colt factory upper slapped onto a PSA pistol lower
I have a gray Nodak spud lower in the safe that I did a form 1 on a few years ago. This should still make a pretty nice rifle. |

 Attached FileI had a brand new nodak gray charging handle along with some colt 6 hole HG and N1 stock in my parts bin. I think they look pretty good, might scuff the CH a little to match the rest of the rifle  Attached File |

I'm going to see how she shoots with the Bushmaster HB and keep my eyes open for a proper colt barrel. At least it's a complete rifle now and not just a lower in the back of the safe. |

I decided to swap out the A1 upper for a colt A2 that was a better fit to the nodak lower. The take down pins on the A1 were too tight to take apart without a hammer and punch plus the gray park on the A2 is a near perfect match.
