Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mount red dot on top of scope, not offset

Hi,
Just joined, like 5 minutes ago but been here a lot. I want to be able to mount a micro red dot either on my scope or on top of the scope ring. Don't want it offset. Hope this makes sense. My scope has a 30mm tube and 50 mm observation diameter.

That's where mine is but I got a scope mount that had a small section of Picitinny rail as the top of the scope ring.  My red dot is on that section of Picitinny rail.

Burris PEPR Mount.  Mine isn't the quick-disconnect version.  I had one and didn't before and didn't like it.
