Has anyone picked up either of the Modlite Legacy Enhanced light heads that came out recently? Allows use of CR123s on a M600 type body. I haven't got into the modlites over surefire yet because of the required rechargeable battery but am highly considering these that allow for throw away batteries.

Can you post some feedback and possibly picture if you have?

How are these different than the modlite okw duel fuel heads which can be used on surefire duel fuel bodies?

To my knowledge the only difference is that you don’t have to use a rechargeable battery. Which is why I am personally interested in them.

You don’t have to either for the okw duel fuel head

Hmm if you look at the light head page it states that CR123s are not supported.

Have you used the OKW on a M300 style body with CR123s by chance?

2x Lithium CR123 cells are only supported with this light head. This head will not function on a single CR123 and will not function on legacy scout bodies.

The legacy heads are for standard smaller thread Scout bodies, not dual fuel bodies.

The dual fuel head is for the larger thread dual fuel bodies, not standard Scout bodies.

I just ordered one today, so I'll update when I get to play with it a bit.

Works on a standard Scout body.  The OKW DF head requires a DF or Modlite light body.

It almost seems like the Legacy Flood is the best of both the E2XT and E2HT. Any confirmation?

Nice. Would love to see a video comparing them to the OKW and PLH models.

Also curious about performance.

I had a Malkoff E2XT, but I wanted something with more flood. Little flood, tight hotspot.
The Modlite PLHv2 is better with flood, but still pretty tight.
I have a Streamlight TLR-1HL that offers a bigger hotspot, less throw, and wide flood, wanted to see what I could get in the Modlite line of things.

Ordered both T and F series legacy heads today.  I’ll try to get some pics or vids when they come in.

Awesome. Would love to see them. Crazy there hasn’t been really anything on these still.

Arisaka sells the OKW Dual Fuel, which does support CR123 in the 18650 body.

I ended up getting one of the OKW DF heads, which is the way to go in my opinion. I like to have options versus solely rechargeable batteries.
