The shaving may have to be aggressive but it will work. Usually taking the bottom corners off a bit more to suite the inner dimensions of the rail. MI's 3 screw lp block will cover the scar nicely and save some work.
The MI rails are super easy to instal and are great performers. I have about 10k on the 3 screw block and never has loosened, used red on the screws. |

Do NOT use red on the screws. Blue is more than enough and you’ll curse him and thank me if you ever have to remove the forend. I use MI rails on all my builds from 5.56 to .475 TREMOR. Blue holds just fine. Friends don’t let friends use red on firearms.
