Crap potato pic but it’s got a 18” Daniel Defense cold hammer forged barrel (only 18” I could find with a shoulder big enough for a FSB) and a badass KNS pointed front sight pin. I was able to get good consistent hits to 750 yards on man size silhouettes when I wrapped a sling tight. |
This is why we can't have nice things.

How does it feel with the grip being so small? View Quote |

I happened upon a sweet deal on a FN 16” middy barrel. So, as it goes, a new rifle is conceived by spare parts doing spare parts things. This will barrel is headed off to Retro Arms Works to have a FSB pinned, then will be mated to a Brownells A1 receiver set (slick-side upper). I thought a set of Boyd’s wood furniture would go quite nicely, but not really keeping with the KISS concept, IMO. (read: “I don’t want to spend that much on furniture”) I may need to take a harder look at the Ace stocks as well. |

View Quote You'll need a QD attachment if you're not using a traditional sling swivel, this one doesn't come with it. Specter Gear slings are amazing, I have them on all my rifles. Can't say enough good things about them. https://www.spectergear.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=534 ETA: Just found they have this one that comes with a QD attachment, they say its for the Ruger PC Carbine, but I assume the stock stirrup would still work on any normal fixed stock https://www.spectergear.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SG%2D1169 |
