I'm finally getting around to finishing this
MEGA build that's been tucked away for several
years now.

I'm wondering, should I install a BRT on this one??

Quiet awhile back, I made up my mind all my new projects
would be 50/50. This is my first MEGA build. I have acquired
ability/parts to build two of these (I seem to do things in 2's lol).

Has anyone built one of these and used it suppressed? The
barrel is MEGA Arms SS/nitrided. No idea port size and
no ability to measure the port.

What would you do? Leave it or work toward 50/50??

I've already ended up with plenty of guns for suppressed
so I don't really need this one for suppressed use. But, that little
voice says continue the course 50/50.

Has anyone used one of these barrels suppressed?

Lower, been built for several years now and sitting around.

That is quite a great foundation there! MEGA made some of the best receiver sets available- love mine. Sad they got bought out.

No answers to any of your questions- sorry.

No idea on the gas port size.

Just wanted to say how great Mega receivers are, they are my favorite, and I miss them!

Provided your suppressors will fit the Surefire Warcomp, I would prefer to have the ability to do so.

As for the gas port size, do you know anyone with a decent assortment of small drill bits ? ( Use the shank end, not the drill bit end )

If so , you could at least have vague idea of the gas port size.

Thanks bfoosh.

I'll look into the bits. Forgot about that. I do have
drill bits laying around.

AFAIK, the Warcomp's are adapters for
all the Surefire SOCOM's. Next will be a 7.62 SOCOM followed by
a SOCOM mini.

I don't have anything that's legacy Surefire so no issues there.

Sweet…. I got lucky and my first AR lower was a MEGA Gator forged.  Spoiled me and I have a set waiting for a future build someday.

Measure your GP diameter,  go from there.
