Does this problem apply to them all? I have this setup and haven't noticed any issues.

Mine drains batteries sitting in the safe, flickers, dims....etc. none of these problems seem to exist with the regular switch. Problem is, I didn’t buy this to use as a pocket light. The more I read about this the more sure I am that the problem is the wore on the SF tape switches.
A dude here was going to upgrade the wire on one of his but IDK where that thread went. |

Mine had issues with and without the switch, I contacted surefire, they sent me a prepaid ups label, and sent me the light I requested in exchange. I got a brand new m640pro which has been flawless

I'm a bit torn between a 600DF or 640DF versus the two you list. On my shorty SBR, the SF 600/640 options are probably the best trade-off for fill and not washing things out inside my house but, I can certainly see a Modlite or REIN or ... being better outside at my 40-acre farmhouse or one of my properties. |
