Hello everyone,
I recently picked a new AP M4E1 stripped upper/lower set. Spent last evening putting it together, and thought I would share it here. This is my 2nd AR build ever. If you see anything wrong please feel free to chime in. The castle nut is pending staking.
Lower Component List:
-SOLGW basic LPK
-BCM SOPMOD Stock kit. ( BUFFER, ETC).
-BCM Mod 3 grip
-Larue MBT-2S Trigger
Assembling the M4E1 was a bit easier by the use of set screws. When installing both set screws I used a dab of red loctite. Overall fit/finish of the lower is great. The SOLGW blaster LPK is high quality with excellent fit and finish. Great for somebody just looking to buy a LPK and use their own trigger/grip. The BCM Stock kit was excellent. Very snug with no play and positive engagement. The BCM grip required a little fitting to make it seat properly. I had to sand the trigger guard tab extension (length and thickness). Managed to get it almost flush without removing to much material or exposing the detent spring. The Laure 2 stage trigger is a work of art. Very little creek and a crisp break. Absolutely no grit or spongy feeling. Trigger reset is almost instant after releasing the trigger. Best $80 I have spent on a ar part so far.
I plan on building a 16" free float platform. My first build was a FSB build. Time to try something new. I will post more content soon after assembling the upper.
