The only reasons for an M4 bbl profile are:
1) Cloning; 2) Mounting an M203 or dummy, and even then the M4A1 profile is stronger; 3) Bayonet drill, and again, a M4A1 or HB profile is superior; 4) Price. Get the pencil. |

The pencil barrel is still pretty stiff and it's a 22lr. I'd not worry about it.

RTB has barrels and components back in stock. RTB, Bore Buddy and CMMG will be your best sources for AR-22 parts and pieces. I highly recommend the bolt weight and charging handle insert.

Like mentioned I went with pencil contour for lightweight purposes since it is a .22lr. No reason to get an m4 profile unless you want a realistic weight clone either for cloning rifles or similar setups for training.
Also .22lr barrels are hard to get right now. As of last night RightToBear had pencil profile barrels in stock. They use the same pattern as CMMG, so the parts are interchangeable with the bolt/collar parts. Use code 1776 to get 17.76% off your order. |

Just seen that RTB has both the barrel and collar in stock at the same time, so I got the combo...with a pencil diameter.
What sub $100 cheap ass mlok rail will look good with the pencil barrel? |
