For me it didn't change the placement very much, just slightly forward, due to PEQ and light placement with a carbine handguard and lack of real estate on the rail. |

I was at KRAB Aug-Nov 05 with ASOS, TACP, aligned with the 116th BCT. TACP house was next door to the pool, GO AF! Spent time at Ft McHenry doing clearing into Hawejah and the Zab River area. Also went to Barbarian Base in the middle of Kirkuk for a night mission. I never saw ODA guys while I was there,(that I remember), but supposedly our rotation before mine did missions with some. I had fun and tried to stay longer, but the TACP division leaders wanted me to go to Division. I went home instead of Division desk duty. Might have seen you guys at the DFAC! |

Getting some stuff together for a m4 build.
I know the ras handguards are kind of hard to come by. So I'm probably not going to be able to fully finish it for little bit, but I am getting the rest of the stuff together. I have the a aero clone lower. And most of the lower parts. I have a aero upper. I'm mainly missing the barrel and handguards. What's a decent barrel to go with? Windham weaponry has one, for a decent price. Not sure the quality though. I was looking at ballistic advantage, but have read some stuff about qc issues. Should I bump up my budget and go with something in the $300-350 range? Not seeing many companies offer fsb barrels currently. |

You can also order it pinned and welded from the factory. |

I used Colt SOCOM 14.5 barrel for the Block I for the MK18 (CQBR), I used a Colt Gov't profile 14.5 barrel cut down to 10.3 by ADCO per crane specs (.070 gas port size) I chased and used Colt C MP marked barrels on all my clone builds...just a personal preference but there are a number of barrel options out there. |

Lot of information in this thread, so if I missed it, I apologize.
But for block 1.5 rifles that were using a YHM tri rail, what would be the correct front sling mount? I’m guessing either the cqd or the kac rail sling mount(non qd), but I can’t find any solid pics. Anyone have pics of, or know the actual sling mount used? Thanks! |

Almost done with my block 1 clone, just need to get an acog and a sling.
Is there a clone correct mount for the ST07 switch? Also what acog should I go with the TA01NSN or TA31,I thought I read something about the TA31 being used but could be misremembering |
