I have a Radical Firearms upper chambered in 7.62 x 39 and am not sure which chamber tool to get. Looking at reviews I see that some people say that the tools for the 7.62 x 39 don't fit their AR variant. I don't have an AR 15 chambered in 223/556 to compare the chamber and bolt size. If anyone has a chamber and bolt cleaning tool like Otis, Avid, Talon or Battle Steel type then which  caliber tool are you using and how do you like it. Thanks for any info in advanced.

If you're talking about things like those star shaped things for cleaning the barrel extension I think they should fit all calibers the same, as they use the same barrel extension.

I use an AR 10 .308 chamber brush on my AR 15 in 7.62x39. Like the 5.56 brush, it's got the wider band of steel wires to get in the lug cutouts.

But yea, if we're talking about that cleaning tool that takes the cleaning pads cut to fit the lug cutouts in the chamber, it's the same for both 5.56 and 7.62x39. Only the chamber itself and the cutout on the bolt face is different.

try different shotgun brushes until you find ones that fit good
