Hey all,

I've noticed with my Modlite and Arisaka light heads, when I remove them to swap batteries, the heads like to really grab on to the o-rings and they often comes off with the light. It looks like this sometime damages the oring slightly

I'm wondering if this is normal, or if there's something I can do to avoid the issue

Thanks

Just make sure it's not a silicone o-ring, which is usually pink/salmon colored.  Likes dissolve likes, or in the case of o-rings, likes swell likes.  Silicone grease will make a silicone o-ring swell up to double its size or more.

To the OP - a light coat of petroleum jelly would probably be the easiest/simplest thing.
