Which do you like better and why for a “do all” .223 AR15 16” carbine?

Any LPVO no matter how expensive.

Any magnified optic ... ACOG, 2-10x ect.

Any offset RDS.

You have one gun for HD, SHTF, 3 gun, hunting.

Make your strongest case.

Go.

P.S.  This isn’t a troll thread.  I will not post my opinion.

If only fun, hunting, target, etc than the lpvo but as it includes fighting that an optic with offset dot.  1.  You have TWO sets of sights instead of one in case there is a problem with one of them but more important 2.  Not having to change back and forth.

What are the best options to pair with an offset T2 on an M4A1 14.5?

Can make a case for both.  LPVO 1-6x is on my 16" carbine and 2.5-15x and offset RDS on my 20" DMR.

I ran an Aimpoint M2 on my SHTF rifle for more than a decade. After a recent night match in which I struggled at longer range with dot flaring, I switched to a combination of a Steiner 1-4x LPVO plus an Aimpoint T1 in a 45-degree mount. It’s a bit heavier, but I save some weight by discarding the BUIS
