Hi Guys,

I have a few newbie Knights Armament specific questions, please bare with me:

1. Are standard carbine buffer weights in all SR-30/15 lowers?
2. Standard carbine buffer weight works well with 14.5 - 18?
3. If I have 11.5 (SR15 CQB) or 9.5 (SR30), is it wise to change from standard carbine to heavy buffer?

Thank you all.

1. Carbine buffers came with my SR-15 lowers
2. I use KAC H2 21057's in my 11.5, 14.5, 16 SR-15's & SR-25, In SR-15's, I only shoot 5.56, all unsuppressed
Experiment with your ammo, try carbine, H, H2 buffers.

Thanks - If I'm understanding you right, you can use Carbine weight for all to "function correctly" but can adjust to H or H2 if needed?

Yes, and that is not specific to KA. That holds true for any carbine.

When you buy a factory upper they come with a buffer and spring.  Unless that changed that.

My 16” came with a regular carbine buffer, I believe the short ones come with an “H” buffer, but I could be wrong.

I swapped the carbine buffer for an H2, functions fine suppressed and unsuppressed.

I had a few 16" Mod 1 SR15s.

They would run with and buffer, Car - H3, and A5-A5H3.

Buffer weight is largely irrelevant.
