I thought the original JSOC clone thread was really cool before it was taken over by the Noveske navy, and it has been missed ever since. Consequently, here is its triumphant return.
Criteria for admission is pretty simple: is the setup used by JSOC? Are there pics in the wild? From a solicitation? It’s all fair game! Post up your badass clones! What fits in here you might ask? Well, LVAWs are always good: Attached File 416s are kosher: Attached File Attached File Cool far away pictures of JSOC elements putting in work is nifty: Attached File Guns for fighting from a distance are also welcome: Attached File |

I was just typing that same question.......is there an “official” list?

Unless your lower is a colt third hole with a serial number in the range that was sent to the gov, it's not going to be 100% clone. Furthermore, nobody is going to throw in barrels with a manufacture date that corresponds to gun they are cloning. Consequently, even the most stringent clone requirements allow for some leniency. I am typing out a more lengthy list of what qualifies as "official", but the short version is as follows: is it a clone of something used by a member of JSOC in a picture? Bam, you're good. |

Thanks! I have a S&B (as close to correct as I think I can get right now) I just need to mount and sight in, then I think I’m done lol.

Despite how cool LVAWs are, this is not allowed to turn into a specific build thread! All JSOC, all the time! (As soon as my lvaw rail gets here though, you can bet I’m posting it)

Quoted: Quoted: Despite the cries from KAC fanboyz, CAG and the 24th selected 10.3 and 14.5" G SD's to replace their 416's. Interesting. Where’d ya see that? Didn't see it. Just know it. That is why early in the thread I said that I was standing by for G builds. ETA... I don't want to derail this thread. There have been many threads on the discussion, and many other brand fans or G haters want to argue. It is funny. It is happening now despite their cries. I have even had people from the industry (that deal with those units) "IM" me on here laughing at the fanboyz crying and demanding proof because their favorite wasn't selected. |

Speaking of the LVAW, why is it called the “low visibility assault weapon”? What’s low visibility about it?

Quoted: It is suppressed, short/compact, and has a folding stock so I would imagine those features give it a better ability to be “low visibility” View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Speaking of the LVAW, why is it called the “low visibility assault weapon”? I was shopping BCG's today for a build that I want to do with my LMT upper and lower. Was pricing out a G REBCG (really like mine) and the LMT EBCG. Then it popped in my head to check out the Surefire OBC... thinking to slap that in the 11.5" G and use the REBCG in the new build.
Noticed everyone is out of stock. Call Surefire rep to see what price he can get me. Me: Hey, I want to try the OBC. What's the price? Rep: Chuckles, gives me a price (actually better than I thought and cheaper than the other two) Me: Sweet, I will take one. Rep: Chuckles again and says "well, you're looking at 160+ days before they will be available again". Me: WTF? Are you sure? Rep: Yep, I don't even have one to give you if I wanted to. Me: JSOC is taking them all, huh? Rep: "Yeeeeeaaaaauuuuughhhwellll, we're working on a project with Geissele. Me: Fine, put me on the list. I'm not holding my breath... |
|
I cashed out on my OBC on Gunbroker as soon as I heard the news. Probably should have waited. Oh well.
