I have an Aero enhanced gen2 ff handguard I am installing on a standard Aero gen 2 upper. So they sent me the special barrel nut. It requires the 3 pin adaptor on the armorer's wrench. I have a Magpul Armorer's wrench, which I thought was the gold standard, and it has the 3 pin adaptor. Problem is the 3 pins are not wide enough to fit in the Aero nut holes. I watched the Aero video and he says just make sure your armorer's wrench includes the 3 pin adaptor. So I have no idea what the 3 pin adaptor on magpul's wrench is for. I need either an adaptor or I guess find another wrench that has the correct width 3 pins?

Has anyone had this problem and know a decent adaptor or wrench that has this?

It says on the AERO page that the Magpul wrench won't work. It says to use a standard AR15 armorer's wrench with three pins. There's also a link on the page for PDF installation instructions.

Aero barrel nut wrench EE AD

I was sent the barrel nut because of the upper I am installing the handguard on. I didn't buy it as an individual item so I wasn't shopping for it. There was no way for me to know the 3 pins on the magpul wrench were for some specialized part.

I contacted him. Thanks. Hopefully he takes USPS money order as I don't have paypal. I don't know what what all those pay abbreviations mean. Aero says they will send me what they have, whatever that means.  Haha. I have bought a ton of things from them so maybe I'm due a favor?
