Are there any identification marks to tell the differences between the versions of the TLR-1s from the old(lower lumen lights) vs new (higher lumen lights)?

Same for the TLR-1 HL, are there any identification marks to tell if you have the 800 lumen version vs the 1000 lumen version?

Model/version #'s? Maybe a design change.

There is also a 630 or 660 can’t remember which. It came out just before the 800 lumen.

They all have mfr dates on the body. If you know roughly when the changes were it's easy to ID. Somewhere around 2015?

I seem to remember a thing for the HLs where if your serial # was above a certain # then you had the new model, this was back in like 2015 tho.

Edit: this was for the 630 to 800 transition. Not sure about differentiating between 800 and 1000

Not that I could tell, so I just marked my 1k versions with a sharpie.   The box does say 1,000 lumens FWIW.

That is what I am going to do from now on. I know the 1 I just bought is 1k, and I'll check out the other lights based off of the dates Streamlight gave me so I don't lose track of their outputs.

I never thought that the lights would continue to go through that many revisions without changing the light in anyway.  I guess the overall design is great, so why differ from that.

I can't find the box for my old original TLR-1.  maybe 80 or 135 lumens?  no dates on the body

Here are some specs for what I still have the boxes.

TLR-1 C4 version  no date  300 lumens, 12K candela

TLR-1 HL   made 4/13 and 9/13  630 lumens, 12K candela

TLR-1 HP  made 2/12  200 lumens,  46K candela

TLR-1 HPL  made 0/15  775 lumens,  48K candela

Almost all the lumens increase of the newer versions is going to side spill, not peak intensity of the hot spot.
