M118LR has a nominal COAL of 2.830” while the older Pmags were made for “normal” 7.62x51 which has a nominal COAL of 2.820”.
Those 10 thou mean that with the +/-s, M118LR might fit/feed in a Gen 2 and they might not…hence the Gen 3. KAC and LaRue are also spec’ed for M118LR. |

you need to buy the ones for M118LR specifically or the rounds hang up. they have a maroon follower

Never had a problem with Lake City M118LR out of normal 20rd Pmags in my Aero M5 build. Didn't even know they made a different mag for M118LR
