Subscribed. I guess I have a blind spot for PCCs. Never really saw them as useful for much of anything. The best of both worlds - the bulk/size/heft of a rifle, with all the stopping power of a pistol.

Actually parted out my 9mm upper, magwell adapter, and mags to fund a PTR MP5 clone.

Got a 3 lug adapter for my 9mm suppressor and stamped the gun as an SBR.

I'm much happier with the MP5 as the truck/HD gun.

May run it in some IDPA and Steel Challenge matches.

In the last 1.5 years, I have put 10x more ammo down range in my 9mm ARs than 556.

I now have one (pistol) in the bedside rifle safe with JHP. I see no reason not to use it for home defense

Suppressed formHD is IMO/E the way to go: tiny, light weight maneuverable package and quiet.

Anyone who hasn’t fired any firearm (rifle or pistol) in an enclosed space, especially sans ear pro, is in for a surprise if/when they do so.

Mine is in pistol form.

I use it mainly for plinking but have carried in in my vehicle and kept it in my tent when camping for personal defense.

Could use it for varmints but usually just use a 22 for that.

I put my AR9 together, paid the SBR stamp, and it was going to be a fun plinker in the backyard range for half the cost of 5.56 ammo.

Now I don’t really shoot it. Ammo is too expensive, I don’t have a suppressor for it, so I may as well just plink with 5.56

Sucks, cause I really like it.

I use them almost exclusively for outlaw steel, some USPSA and club type matches, and Steel Challenge matches
1st started building and using a AR style 9mm at matches about 7 years ago.
They are fun, and a great platform for competitive shooting

Built them w/ Colt....Glock...and now MP5 mags.
