Found a few hundred rounds buried in my gear.

Never used any that I can remember.

Is it any good accuracy wise

Very accurate. Discontinued. I'll buy any that I can find.

Weird, but I like the way their burnt powder smell after the case ejected.

Product number 80261.

Hornady couldn't keep up production of its high demand products in 2013, so they quit making their low demand products to focus production on the high demand ammo.

I’ve only shot a little of it but it shot well. Definitely one of those times I regret not stacking it deep.

I bought a few boxes to try years ago when it was affordable.  It shot very well.  Always seemed to be out-of-stock from my normal suppliers after that.  Like a lot of things, I should have bought more.

Same here. I never could find it in stock or I would have stacked it deep!

I really don't think I could load it even back then for what they were selling it for!

I would have seriously bought 5,000 rounds maybe 10,000 if I could have ever seen it in stock.

Hornady 75 grain steel match

This load had a muzzle velocity of 2694 FPS with a standard deviation of 26 FPS fired from the 20" Colt A2 barrel.   A 10-shot group fired from a Lothar-Walther 20" barrel at a distance of 100 yards had an extreme spread of 0.95".

It was so accurate and reliable for me I considered loading all my mags with it.

I've shot thousands of them.  Very accurate.  A little slow.  I was getting 2580 FPS from an 18" barrel.

I shot 20% gel from a 10.5" barrel and the bullet fragmented beautifully.

I've shot up all of my Steel Match and am down to my last case of the Hornady "training" ammo, which shoots just as well.

The 75gr Steel Training version usually shoots better for me. It's shot a couple of .50MOA groups over the years but averages just a hair under 1.5MOA for me. I still have a few boxes stashed. Very good ammo.
