Got a spare lower and interested in doing a 7.62x39. Looking for cheap carry handle upper and a 14.5 barrel with fsb. Will be running a cav arms c1 stock rifle stock. Whatever I can find. Where do I look for barrel with fsb? And what are my cheap carry handle upper options? This will be the first a1/a2 style build so may need a little guidance

You might be able to build it as a pistol with a brace and that barrel length. |

View Quote Assumed P&W, but he didn't spec it so good to point that out. There are no "cheap" carry handle uppers and any have been hard to come by. I went with a flat-top and carry handle until I come across one and might just leave it. |

Couple of AR-47 (7.62x39 AR) basics to know.

Really like the colt r6830. I think that's the initial 7.62x39 that sparked my interest.

I'd try calling em. If you can't get through, I have another contact #. It sounds like they've got your order confused w/ someone else, or did they specifically say the A2 upper had jumped in price by $100? Almost sounds like they have you down for a bbl'd upper.

Wow. And still haven't changed it on their website. I won't seem em again for a few weeks, will let them know when I see em. Raise prices if you want, but don't screw over folks who have bought in good faith.

Today i picked up a new complete A2 upper from private party and found myself looking for 7.62 barrel with fsb. Only one I could find was on model 1 sales. I broke down and ordered it. Hopefully a smoother transaction than before. Also picked me up a 3 prong duckbill flash hider to try something different. Currently looking for bolt and ext firing pin

Well, that's twice a failed attempt being a model1 sales customer. The barrel isnt in stock I purchased, although it still says in stock. Never got an email otherwise.
So I'm looking for a 16" carbine length barrel with fsb if anyone could let me know if there in stock anywhere. Greatly appreciated |

I just completed a 7.62x39 Carbine build and here's what I've got so far. Maybe this helps...
PSA lower Anderson upper Prime weaponry BCG Green mountain 16" barrel Dura-mag Magazine Spare extractors from Black Rifle Arms Red X arms for spare pins I test fired it over the weekend and it worked great with steel ammo but not with brass, where about 20% had various FTE issues. I'm putting an H3 buffer in to see if that helps. |

I built one of these but haven’t had much time to shoot it. I used an Anderson upper and 16” HBAR, AIM lightweight NiB BCG, NoDak lower, and Cproducts mags.
First shoot, multiple rounds (maybe 30%) nose dived into the front of the magazine. Other than that positive primer ignition. Fast forward to today. I had upgraded to a Rise 140 trigger and also replaced the buffer with an H2 thinking the BCG was cycling too quickly for the magazine to present the rounds in time, causing the nose dives. Now rounds feed perfectly. Now I’m getting failures to ignite primers about 30% of the time. UGH! Anyone know of a GOOD crisp trigger which will ignite all this Wolf ammo I’ve been stacking for years? Thank you. |
