Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - HK 416A5 Upper and MR556 barrel

Okay, I'm one of those who can't leave stuff alone....I just liked the color.  That said, can I trim the barrel extension on my MR556 barrel to interface with the new design of the barrel connection on the 416A5 upper?  Seems it should be straightforward....right?  Experts, let me know before I screw something up.  Thanks!!
