I currently have the A2 grip on my AR.  It's pretty uncomfortable on my hand.  I have small hands with skinny fingers.  I'm hoping someone can recommend a grip that would work well with small hands.

I main handgun is a HK VP9, it fits my hand perfectly with the small backplate and side panels.  Is there a grip that would be about the same size as my VP9 (or PPQ with small backplate).

I think I may just sand the finger groove off my A2 grip first, but I'm interested in knowing what's available out there for aftermarket grips.

I too have small hands (small or xs glove size depending on brand).  Absolutely would recommend the MOE K2+

The K2 is a good option.  The duckbill grip ( if still made ) is also another option for small hands

Thanks for the replies!  Looks like the guy that designed the Duckbill grip was experiencing the same problems I am.

Magpul K2+. The overmold rubber works well and the angle is right.

BCM Gunfighter Mod0

Very nice small profile, also the more vertical nature makes it easier to shoot while upright

Does posting in this thread confirm that one has small hands?
For real though, I’ve good luck with the bravo, magpul moe, hogue and ergo grips. The edge probably leaning towards bravo and magpul

I think it might confirm one has small hands, yourself included.  A female co-worker of mine has hands the same size as mine.  Guess I have lady hands...

Same thing.

Id sand off and stipple an A2 grip. Doesn't have to look pretty.

Any of Magpuls offerings work for me as well BCM

Brownells A1 grip is slightly thinner than a regular A1/A2 grip. It’s very nice.

Griffin Armanent A3 grip. Like an A1 but more vertical and cheap too. Cheapest, smallest, lightest of the ones mentioned here I believe.

Troy used to make one called the Battle AX cqb.
It was small, more like a traditional AK grip, short & thin.
If you hunt around you might be able to find one.
Heck I think I have one somewhere.

Found an OLD pic of when I had it one one of my rifles. (Center)
I pretty much just run K2 MOE grips these days.

The Hogue polymer fingerless is also small, vertical, and super lightweight.

I have pretty big hands.  Particularly large palms.   I hate those giant hogue grips but an A2 is too small and too angled.  I love my K2+.   Fits my hand perfectly.  Honestly I am surprised people suggest it for a small hand.  But everyone likes a different amount of "filling" in their palm.  With big hands most people would think I would like the Hogue I guess.

The real point is that you just need to out your hand in a little of grips.    That's the only real way to find the answer for YOU.  That's how I picked one.

I bought one of the BCM Mod 0 grips, installed it last week, seems good.  It's more vertical than the A2 grip and comfortable in the hand, seems good.  Going to shoot it in a day or 2, and then take a class with my AR this weekend.  I think this grip will be good.

Magpul MOE SL grip. Perfect fit for me. The only down side is no grip storage.

I run all small panels on my vp9 and ar grips are generally a good bit smaller, just blocks. K2 + is good. Good angle and the little bit of give in the rubber makes it feel not so blocky.

I wish someone would come out with an ar grip as ergonomic as the vp9. That pistol is the end all when it comes to shooting comfort to me.

I don't have small hands. But...I recently tried a MOE K grip. It's very small but surprisingly comfortable. I bought it for a pistol based solely on its looks.

I really like the Magpul MOE-K grip, small and more upright than regular A2 grip. I also have the Troy Battle Ax CQB grip. I have it on an AR pistol, a bit slippery, but definitely smallest and thinnest of the ones I have seen.

The Ergo grip is thin and may make a great choice for you. They are also soft rubber.

I disagree with the posts recommending the Magpul K2, its definitely not a small grip. I have just about every Magpul AR grip they've made and the one that sounds most like what you want (and my favorite) is the SL. I like to store a little bit of lube & boresnake or a spare bolt in my grips but the SL doesnt have a plate on bottom to store things, that's the only thing I dont like, but its really not necessary.

Mission First Tactical now makes a grip with interchangeable front straps and rear backstraps.  Haven't taken mine out of the package yet but might be the ticket for puny paws.
