SLR perfected that design some years back. Picatinny Rails are best rails.

I love the look and design of the MK4 rail so much I bought two!
The KAC URX 3.1 rails are nice too but really expensive for what they are. |

Hybrid mlok/quad rails are the real sweet spot in my opinion. I like both the Mk4 and the CMT one too.

Stout! and the ridges help with a better grip. I absolutely love the way a flashlight will mount sunken between the ridges. Another plus is longer barrel nuts than the mk14/16 |
