I got a reloading setup now.  I have no idea what I'm doing.  Thus far I've accomplished punching out primers and I guess resizing.

Lol. I was overwhelmed in the beginning too. It's not that hard. You'll figure it out. Watch youtube vids and check out the reloading forum. What reloading setup did you get?

I also use one of these. If they drop in here you'll be good to go.

Looks like it gives you way too high of a cheek weld. Seems more like an eye weld if you want to run irons still.

They were intended for carry handle mounted optics, i was considering leaving my red dot on the 1.40 mount with the gooseneck, which should be somewhere near carry handle mounted height.

I bought mine here a little while back

I just wanna say a big fuck you to everyone who pushed the Armalite chop. I ordered the finest saw I could find and it's slow fucking moving because it keeps wanting to bind up. I'm through the tube on two small parts, though. Hope to have two separate pieces by end of day. I broke out the Dremel once before I got through but I bought this saw for a reason so elbow grease it is.

Would lube help it not bind, or just make it too slick for this 42tpi shit saw to grab onto? Am I using more elbow grease than brains right now?

EDIT: I SAID FUCK IT AND LUBED IT LIKE GRANDPA WOULD AND ITS GOING THROUGH LIKE BUTTER. THE DREAM LIVES!

Always lube while cutting. I learned that with my time in the construction industry. My uneducated guess is that it would be even more important with carbon fiber since it’s a brittle and thin layered material.

Eta: No

I thought you were cutting out a FSP slot?  The fuck is this?

CF cuts like butter....if you're doing it right.  I'd bet your blade is cutting like dog shit and just heating up the resin causing shit to "bind".  I've never used a toothed blade on CF.
Use an abrasive cutoff wheel/disc.

Nope.  CF should be cut with abrasives so no lube.

ETA: don’t listen to me.

My experience is with concrete and steel where we keep it wet. Learned something new on carbon fiber today.

But wait, there's more! I am having a machine shop make a sleeve to go inside so I can slide the front around the FSP. Think of it like a GWOT convertible

Or just an MRE front filler but on a bigger scale. I wrestled a long time over wanting a carbine version like I posted above, but still keep the front accessible.thats what took me so long to actually get this done.

Just needs taper pins, a raggedy ass EoTech, and some rails attached for a broomhandle. I was cautiously optimistic about keeping the front end intact for reattaching later, but I'm glad I did. It's still rigid as fuck without the endcap.

Or just full retard with the 2.5-8

The fact that your taper pins match the ring on the leupy is really confusing me

Bro them ain't taper pins, they're wooden skewers to hold the FSB in place until the actual pins get here

It's a handy little bastard, though. Can't really tell the barrel is Socom profile and the handguard is a brick. I'll probably just rail the bottom for a broomhandle so I'm not tempted to add unnecessary shit to it.

NF 1.125" with reducers, and those are sitting on a YHM 0.5" riser.

Not that I'd have a use for one anyhow, but I can't figure out how it's mounted so closely to the tube. It'll probably never make it onto the finished product.

Everyone wants GWOT shit until it's time to wreck irreplaceable parts

But now I've got the whole set! Full length, FSB cutout, and carbine length with full length convertible.
