SWAG but my guess is Surefire M73. Don't know how common those were operationally but it doesn't look like KAC or ARMS SIR.

This is the first time I’ve seen something actually mounted to Leupold CQ/T accessory rails.

LAV once hinted those CQ/T rails were at the request of a very special customer for very specific attachments but never divulged the details.

Any idea on time frame? Looks like an early KAC URX but those have a slight scallop on the bottom rail

What even is mounted on it? LAM unit? If the CQ/T was more than a 1-3x a rangefinder could be handy, but with its low magnification it'd be a waste of money and weight. I don't know of any red dots that would be able to mount to the top rail either, its like 2 slots long

Might be an AN/PEQ-5 CVL.

Time to mount a visible laser to my CQ/T, I guess.

Around 2006. The rifle belongs to SFC Tung Nguyen, KIA 11/14/06. 3rd SFG CIF.

And yeah I believe that's the PEQ-5 up there.

To anyone running an OCM5 on either an OTB muzzle device or collar/brake set up, how many complete turns are you getting?  I know the original OPS INC can is supposed to get 6 1/2, but I am getting 8 from mine.

Shifting things around. Sold the Credo 2-10, have an NXS 2.5-10x32 on the way for the recce. My M4 thing there is pretty good the way it is I think. I have a Rugged Micro 30 in jail that'll shorten it up slightly.

Outside Diameter measures a couple thousandths over 2” on my cheap digital calipers. I might be able to get it to work with a PRI rail…

Needs a CAR15 stock.

Might be right about the a top ring mount. It looks fine but my issue with it is how high up the Larue makes it sit. I almost want to try a C1 mount so I can mess with offset or top mount.

I think the Larue is more designed for being 45° between the turrets. It can do 12 o'clock like this obviously but it makes it really damn tall.

Page 720 of the Block II clone thread has that really good picture of the one you’re probably thinking of.
I know there were a few more of that particular rifle somewhere in that thread but after searching for half an hour, I can’t find them
That gun inspired my favorite AR in my safe.

Warehouse camo? The one on the right really disappears against corrugated cardboard.

All kidding aside, I dig the monochrome brown. What brand and color did you rattle it with, or is it cerakote or some other coating?

I just rattled a stock and a magazine in rustoleum’s ‘camo earth brown’ a few days ago and am considering doing an entire rifle in it, but it’s pretty dark… in between milk and dark chocolate. Probably still gonna do it anyway, but may go with a lighter brown.

Once upon a time I had the same idea. Actually came across the SF soldier whos upper it was in a Facebook group and he was all for it [turns out he and I had a mutual friend in the guy who sold me the rail lol. It was a really handy rifle and a dream to shoot. I had posted it on page 57 of this thread.
