HK told me they did this as a favor to me. 1. guarantees more practice and emphasis on bore maintenance - because HK knows how much free time I always have and how much I love cleaning barrels 2. guarantees ‘match’ accuracy. If they had chrome-lined the barrel, I wouldn’t be able to shoot the wings off a fly at 100,000 yards… oops, I meant meters Thank you, HK. All kidding aside, in spite of its chrome deficiency & weight problem, I cherish this pig.   Mr.Tickles (the only gun I ever named) is quite the shooter. |

Not as accurate as my CMMG dedicated .22LR upper, but accurate enough for anything inside 100 yards. It lives in my range bag w/the carbine buffer I use it with (doesn’t do any affective damage, but will mar your buffer a bit with continuous use). It’s always with me, so readily available for painless, inexpensive mag dumps with any length uppers I want to use it in. |

I practically lived off of the citrus ones at times. Those were good cold or hot. The power was really only good when cold. Part of our PCC/PCIs was making sure each truck had at least one case.
