I'm torn on going to a different stock simply for the fact that NJ requires pinning them in a fixed position and the LOP on the A2 feels good. Maybe an A1....Idk I like the adjustable looks better, but gain little other than looking moar cool. Right now im loading up on ammo/mags before I get too crazy and DI parts are next. |

You guys running 18 spr barrels on carbine lowers what spring buffer do you run? Having short stroking with a standard carbine buffer and spring 18 ballistic advantage spr fluted. Gas block is perfect rings are good, gas key is good and tight. Bolt was new.
I only ask here because the GWOT guys seem to try different setups and are cool dudes Attached File |

I think the rifle length system is going to generally be less sensitive to over gassing than shorter setups, but I'd start around .099-.01 and go up if you need. If you're running a can then I doubt you'll need to go any bigger. Mine cycled wolf steel case in 20deg weather with no can, which was certainly good enough for me. IIRC that was with an H1 buffer with carbine buffer tube. When drilling it out, get a brass or steel rod that is around .2" and slide it down the barrel to make sure you don't drill through into the other side. I was surprised at how easy it was, if you have the right tools then don't sweat it at all. |

You have to keep in mind you're only enlarging the hole by .007. That means only .0035 of the bit is actually doing work. This is exactly what reamers are for. |
