I'm sure this has been addressed and i'm late to the party but are there any distinct advantages to the G3 over the G2 Pmags other than the over-insertion tab and supposedly more durability.  I have been running FastMags for so long that I was disappointed when I finally replaced my old G2's with G3's and found they do not fully insert with the tab.  Edit - JR.

Just shave the tab off if it really bothers you. I use M3s in my Fastmag pouches and never had one come out.

The tedious on the M3s is slightly different also.
Still don’t fit in one of my old Colt magwells.
