When are you going to start sending out more stuff to P/A? They are out of most of the things I need next(rear extension/buffer/spring, lower parts, bolt) for the FM9. Ready to start shooting. Actually ordered the bolt from Brownells. I would also like to buy a shirt with your logo, Think its kinds cool... Range report: pa Black Friday model Came in and put on sba3 and cheap red dot. Ran 200 rounds of wolf steel case though it rapid fire. About round 185 had a stoppage that seemed mag related, the Glock made mags haven’t come in yet. Recharged and kept going. I love this thing. Well made. Exactly the range toy I wanted. Much more accurate than expected. Lined up bore sight with red dot and can hit quarters at 100 feet consistently. Negatives: came with no paperwork, not a big deal to me. Mine was also missing the other charging handles. I didn’t know it came with others and I like the feel of the original. I like my hand out front so I won’t have buis on it. Very impressed with FM. Keep it up. View Quote Hit us up if you need any help. |

Got in all my parts late last night. Installed a Griffin 3 lug on the barrel and used a Rugged adapter with my SiCo Octane 9. JUST enough clearance on the 8.5" model to get the can on and off. The blast defuser that came stock on my upper took some force to get off, without my vice block for the upper I would have been screwed. Also got the original paratrooper charging handle, and it is awesome. I have been rocking the FM 6.4 oz heavy 9mm buffer but I now have the newer 8oz buffer with the tungsten weights, which is good since I think I'll need it for the added back pressure with the can installed. Hopefully I can get some range time in tomorrow, super excited to see how she runs suppressed! View Quote |

I'm still waiting on my stamp to come back so I had to scavenge that brace off my .300BO. Now I need to decide on optics, but so far I love this thing! Thanks FM-Products! One question: I'm using the FM 45 heavy buffer and a 5.56 spring I had laying around. I also have the AR-10 spring out of my DD5V1 after I replaced that with a JP Silent Capture Spring. Should I use the heavier spring with that buffer? The recoil doesn't seem bad, but could I reduce it even more with that spring or would I start seeing misfeeds? View Quote |

I'm using your buffer: https://www.primaryarms.com/fm-products-.45-caliber-ar-15-heavy-buffer-8oz
That should be fine right? (it works great so far!) I'm just thinking of a bit heavier spring to go with it. I think I recall someone (maybe in this thread) that used a .308 AR spring with their PCC build and got good results. Also, what charging handles do you offer? The one I have interferes with the BUIS but my understanding is I can buy a different one. Can I buy the one that folds forward or would that one also interfere with BUIS on the rail? |

The folding “paratrooper” handle looks like it will interfere with BUIS on the rail. Check my photos on the previous page, I took a pic of all three handles I received with my upper. The two skinny ones should work with rail mounted sights. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I took apart the proprietary handguard to see how it all works in there. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/353692/AE5FA1DF-A461-49C5-A1F0-4C3FF791C3DF_jpeg-753813.JPG The charging handle carrier rides on two rails inside the top portion of the handguard. The back of the carrier has a rod that goes through what would have been the gas tube hole. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/353692/B908B8CD-AE7C-4B9B-80D8-C6721E1D3BFF_jpeg-753815.JPG https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/353692/4996ADDB-A803-42FB-89EB-FD8F419BF3A3_jpeg-753816.JPG My upper is a 8.5” and as such the charging handle gets pretty darn close to the muzzle. Unlike the pivoted “paratrooper” style handle they have on the longer models mine is a simple plastic piece that snaps into place. The handle and carrier are both plastic in mine, which I was not expecting and don’t really know how to feel. I’d prefer aluminum, but at the same time the plastic won’t slowly eat away at the rails in the handguard or the top of the BCG either. It feels pretty solid however and after messing with it I don't see it breaking or anything. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/353692/18EB906D-ED62-456A-B6C2-B88D5A7BCB31_jpeg-753819.JPG They also included two slimmer handles for use with buis. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/353692/6E9ECBB2-1AAF-43AF-B09D-D77A5BFB8635_jpeg-753820.JPG Overall it a very nice package and I’m happy, I just wish the description on Primary Arms page was more descriptive regarding materials used. It eats my steel case and works with my Stern mag block. I really dig those paratrooper handles they offer, I’m going to see if they’ll let me buy one as well to use on this puppy. View Quote |

FM-Products (Foxtrot Mike Products) takes their customers seriously. The attention to their customers is in a league of its own. The company responds to inquiries in light speed, just amazing. Such a great commitment to customer service deserves to be commended publicly. FM Products (Foxtrot Mike Products) is on a completely different level than most of the gun industry because of the focus on the quality of its products (I own two), and the personal energy and commitment of their corporate leadership. Little bit of tinkering and experimenting, but I think I finally am DONE! (minus the sightmark, still waiting on PSA shipping) https://i.imgur.com/wkbgG8U.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FCdKrtu.jpg Started with the FM 6.4oz extended 9mm buffer, ended up with the new heavier 8oz buffer with the reciprocating tungsten weights. I was having quasi burst fires going off before when rapid firing with the 6.4oz buffer, no longer with the 8oz, so I think that was a result of "bolt bounce" and the moving weights cured that. I felt less punch with the new buffer as well, even with a can on, so it's definitely doing something. I was concerned by the diameter of the FM handguards and the depth of the barrel threads interfering with my silencer. The handguards are of the slim variety, and I was afraid that my suppressor would bind with them. It gets pretty damn close, but using a Rugged Obsidian 3 lug adapter with my Octane 9 works perfectly. https://i.imgur.com/SL9FjZp.jpg I think this is the first time one of my frankenbuilds went together so well. The Stern Glock magwell, FM's upper, the Griffin Armament/Rugged Suppressors/SilencerCo combo; all of it clicked together without issue. That's a rarity for me, so I'm blessing my lucky stars. I also have a guardian angel, and his name is Paul at FM Products! View Quote Thanks for the kind words, its appreciated... |

Has anyone installed mbus sights on their uppers? I bought their 7" pistol from PA and the front site prevents the charging handle from going completely forward.
Edit: looks like ill have to remove the charging handle and install the front site in the middle of the barrel for proper clearance. |
