Hey all, I need some help with a feeding issue.
The rifle is a mut. Yes, it's very cheaply built and that's a bad idea, you get what you pay for, so on and so forth. Please let's just get past that, thanks.
Lower: Anderson
Buffer: ATI standard
Upper: Radical
Mag: Tapco

The bullet is a 400 grain alexander arms

The issue is that the bullet locks up going into the feed ramp. If I take the tension off the bullet it goes right in. I then have to use the forward assist to get it to fully close. Ejecting is not an issue.

I've attached some pics for reference.

I'm not sure if it's the feed ramp, bolt, magazine...=23141004&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=1]https://s95.photobucket.com/user/indynotch50/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20200221_225336.jpg.html?filters

Easiest thing to check first is the mag.
My radical bwulf  functions fine with stock magpul mags. Lancer mags spread and were tough going in and out so didn't try shooting  them.

+1  Not only is it the easiest thing to check, it should be the first thing to check.  It is usually the culprit.

Don't ask me why, but the old British steel magazines work perfectly for 10 rounds in my Beo.  Sadly, I only bought 3 of them when they were relatively cheap.

20 round mag reliability is a mixed bag.

All of my pmags have these tabs in them.
My buddy down the road has a bunch of mags. I'll see if he has any different ones.

I had to smooth out the sharp edges by the feed ramp as I was also having feeding issues. All is good now.

I took a Dremel tool to the front of a 20 round mag to open it up some.  The Beowulf is a fat cartridge single feeding from a double stack mag designed for a cartridge almost half the diameter so that big fat blunt bullet has to sit a little deeper in the magazine.  I also went to handloading the 385 grain Remington bullets which are a semi spitzer and feed much better in the Beowulf.

Thanks everyone. I'll modify a pmag and polish up the ramp some.
Would be awesome if this mut would run

I've been in the big bore game many years. The best mags are USGI modified like the pictures below. DITCH THE PMAGS. They aren't made for anything other than 5.56. I've been through more mag testing that you could imagine. These mag run flawlessly and they'll run Full Auto Too.

My Modified Mags are on the left(Gray Body) and AA one is on the right (Black Body). I use modified black 20rd followers. The only mod is to bevel the front lip at a 45 Degree angle.
