What can you guys tell me about the durability and reliability of the Extar exp 5.56 firearm ? Anygood?

If you like polymer/plastic hammers and triggers in a gun that is known to break them. Nothing good comes from polymer upper receivers either. Ask the Bushmaster Carbon-15.
