I have tested it thoroughly and my overall conclusion is that it is not really a liquid lubricant/CLP at all. it is more of a dedicated rust preventative and I only use it on safe queens and reloading dies. The odor of it is very strong and it smells like one of those pink urinal pucks you pee on in a public urinal.... gross. Even worse yet, if you use eezox for a long time in a poorly ventilated, indoor setting the odor begins to bother your nose and throat. Some people have even reported feeling light headed and spacey. The msds for eezox shows it contains 1,1,1 Trichlorethelyene which is a very toxic. That alone nocks eezox out of contention to be any sort of staple product.
Here is a breakdown of eezox by the categories:
C.leaning- Eezox is a good crud cutter and cleans better than most competitive CLP's. It isnt as strong of a bore cleaner as a dedicated bore solvent but it does clean barrels slightly better than most other CLP's.
L.ubricating- Eezox is a dry film style lubricant and really doesn't do much in terms of cutting friction. I also notice it does not lubricate aluminum such as AR's and pistols with alloy frames well. Steel on steel it does ok but the parts just dont feel as slick as competitors such as G96 synthetic clp, lucas extreme or weaponshield.
P.rotecting- Eezox is a dry film style protectant and it works very well. It prevents rust, repels dust, dirt and lint and even adds a nice sheen to the parts. This is the best attribute eezox has going for it by far.
