Hello,
Trying to maximize my black friday/weekend spending and wanted to get my a2 clone done. Having a hard time finding a good deals on 20inch barrels with FSB. I know that WW has a lot of recommendations for barrels but Delton has 20inch barrel kits with chrome lined barrels. I kinda wanted to go with something outside of 1:7 as all my other rifles are this and was thinking my A2 clone would likely shoot cheap(er)/light bullets.
Anywho was about to pull the trigger and buy a rifle kit from them, but wanted to know what the hive thought. Still plan on going with a colt BCG, just dont want a catastrophic failure to happen. Are they G2G

It's $228 in cart for chrome lined with the black friday sales. Also can I assume the barrel is m4 feed ramps?

Sig Sauer has US Made A2 profile fixed stock. $17.99 on sale.Sig AR15 A2 Stock Sale

The bag it comes in says it is made in USA. Grey color, plastic buttplate and metal sling. Not tube or spacer.

Thanks, I already have my colt butt stock, tube, spring, and buffer. Looking for 20" barrel and hoped to use black friday/weekend sales.

1-7 twist shoots 55 grain fine.

$70 more will get you a Colt A2 barrel from Shark Arms Customs.

And Colt bcgs for $100.

FWIW, Delton bbls shoot fine.

Look at midway yet? They might even have a 20" upper you can just slap on. AR-Stoner brand so not the best but I bought an upper once and it was pretty okay.

Thanks, you know if Delton has the m4 feed ramps? My A2 upper has them.

Ended up ordering the barrel kit with a BCG from Delton. Got it all for $250. Hopefully this turns out well as this is my first time ordering from them and don't want a sour opinion of them.

Hopefully it works out well for you. I have Del-Ton 20" 1/9 barrels in both my C7 and retro mutt builds and for what I paid I've been extremely happy with them.

Thanks! I went with the light weight option for something different. Does your have M4 feed ramps? My Colt upper receiver has m4 feed ramps so hope the barrel does also. Description didn't say if it did or not.

Green Mountain has a 30% off until Noon today.

They have a 1/8" twist A2 barrel that's chromelined for 123 without shipping. However, it has M4 feedramps and doesn't come with a pinned FSB.

We are contemplating just a Delton A2 barrel for a project. Let us know how yours looks when you get it.

We also have a Rock River A2 buttstock coming for the project. Hopefully it will be OK.

Was the chrome lining a extra 35.00?

Yes it was $35ish extra. I ended up getting a BCG from them as well with hopes that head spacing would be a non issue. BCG appears to be same materials as mil spec, just hope the quality is there.

I have a Del-Ton chrome lined barrel in my A2 build and it shoots amazingly well. I can hit little plastic easter eggs filled with tannerite offhand at 50m just using iron sights with it. I zeroed it at 25m just like the I did in the Army and all the holes were touching. Del-Ton is good to go.

Well we got our non chrome lined Delton today. Looks good. FSB appears to indexed correctly. Have not fired it yet. But here is a pic of it somewhat mounted. Have to torque the barrel nut tomorrow however.

Came with the swivel,and rivet. And the front sight post. Had to install that stuff and the Delta assembly ourselves.

Rock River A2 stock seems good to go so far..Seems pretty well made. You can see a slight lengthwise seem on both sides. Maybe they were visible in originals also. I sure have never seen a original, so do not know.
