I’ve currently got a 13.7, two 14.5s, a 16, and an 18 all in 5.56. I have a Q Sugar Weasel receiver set sans barrel on its way to me and I’m debating whether I want another 14.5 5.56 gun (already have a barrel laying around for it), or if I want to put together a 12.5 6.8 SPC gun. If 6.8 I’d have to find the 12.5 ARP barrel that I’d want, the bolt, and invest in 6.8 mags. The benefit would be 6.8 is currently a lot easier to find and buy here vs 5.56. This would be a general purpose gun, some class shooting, maybe the occasional deer hunt if I go the 6.8 route. What says the masses?

I say do it. Great caliber and the 12.5 is an awesome general purpose length, for the 6.8.

I was leaning in the direction of 6.8 and you guys confirmed it. Just gotta track down the necessary parts...
