Before I ask this please note I have 3 i2’s.

Trying to decided between an i2 and a3 for my hk g36c, I’ll say that 1 more time my hk g36c, I have the b&t quad rail on it and mounted my i2 from another gun on their, looks cool AF, I also run a surefire m340v so I do have white and ir light access, which makes me think an a3 might be a wast of money since I have ir light already.

Which would you pick ? Also which switch would you choose to manipulate both light and laser ? Was thinking Unity modlight lite switch ???????

Depending on how you tube is performing, some more IR may or may not be what you are looking for. I'd go with the A3 just in case you want a little more IR flood and along with that you'll get the addition of slaved laser pointers. You have the choice at that point to use or not use the IR illuminator.

What part of Ohio are you in? I have a few A3 DBALS you can see in person if you’re close enough.

The slaved lasers are the best thing about an A3 over the i2. If you don’t need the illuminator get a CQBL.

i2 are discontinued if that matters to you.

With the A3, at least you have the ability to focus the IR flood beam to minimize automating on NODs due to spillover from IR flood light like on a sure fire vampire. Hop from TFBTV was talking about that when he reviewed the Surefire M300V a few weeks ago.

So is the CQBL.

They gutted their civilian IR laser line a couple of months ago. Everything but the OTAL-C, DBAL-D2, amd DBAL-A3 is gone.
