DSI / Sanchez mag ?

I received an old mag in a lot I bought that I think is a DSI/Sanchez made mag. All of the finish is worn off (it's now a golden color) and the baseplate is blank (it's likely a replacement). The follower has been replaced with a Magpul unit and there are NO markings (inside or out) on the body. It has nine(9) welds on both front and back.

Everything I've found so far points to it being a pre-ban DSI/Sanchez made piece.

What say ye?
