That and the FNA4 is gold standard for 'issue' type of rifles.. and 20" is the way to go

Well y’all tipped me over the edge, I’ve been hankering for a m16a4 clone for a while. I emailed arms unlimited and they said if you specify you want an a4 marked gun they’ll select for it and that the recent ones they’ve shipped have been marked that way and not carbine. So here’s to fingers crossed! Now to track down a m5

I have a 2008 Manufactured NIB Colt R0901 M16A4 and a 2018 NIB Colt AR15A4.
Aside from the ambi selector of the 18 and funswitch of the 08, they are essentially identical. I was very impressed with how close they replicated it. I have a much more thorough comparison of the two somewhere in this forum.

Just got my A4 in from AU and overall I’m pretty happy. Only thing I’m kind of bummed about is the inside of the trigger guard looks like trash. Like the flashing was never cleaned off from the forge process. Is this something I should contact colt about? Frankly my blem psa lowers look much nicer.

Great rifles. Shot my best group at 600 with a 20 inch colt ar using iron sights. Have not tried with optics, yet. I do not shoot as much as I did years ago, but really enjoy shooting the rifle vs carbine. As I aged, I came to prefer carrying the carbine, if much walking was involved.. Still, there is something special about the feel/sound/recoil of the rifle.
